Hello dear visitor, my name is Zehava and I am the founder of La Casa Etruria artist residency. I am Dutch and live partly in Amsterdam partly in Italy. I have a background in the field of law, but have always been drawn towards -and in any way busy with the arts. A few years ago I decided to follow my heart, travel through my beloved Italy and devote myself to photography, painting and setting up this residency.

I love this region, where I have been coming for many years now. Not only because of its central position in between lake and sea, close to both Tuscany and Umbria, and not far from Rome, but especially because this relatively undiscovered area is still very authentic and natural, not overrun by tourists, and has so much to offer in many aspects. Especially with regard to nature, history and art: 'La Tuscia' comprises a varied yet compact landscape of vast nature reserves, volcanic lakes, hot springs, valleys and gorges, peppered with Etruscan and Roman archaeological sites, elegant Renaissance villas and picturesque medieval villages.

​With setting up this residency (2024) I hope artists will discover and experience this special part of Italy, while making an artistic contribution to the village with their presence and art.
